It will enable stylists and designers to see the final working appearance of the product, and give ergonomists a view of the product integrated into its final environment (such as a LCD screen on a car dashboard, surrounded by other controls and displays). The ergonomist will thus be able to check visual comfort and harmony of the product in its context. Light and color contrast, glare and dazzling, and ghost reflections can all be simulated.

SPEOS CAA V5 BASED VISUAL ERGONOMICS 1 – PHOTO REALISM PACKAGE
Description: Fully integrated in CATIA V5, VE1 (for Visual Ergonomics 1) allows users to render in HiRes the photo-realistic aspect of their products, with a unique physics based approach to light. The final picture is then obtained taking into account all opto-mechanical properties (scattering, absorbing, refracting.) of all components, including their spectral behaviour. This new package offers very reliable and accurate rendering of virtual products, including the lit appearance of lighting systems. Provide users with very accurate and reliable photo-realistic images, as well as luminance information in any point or area – based on the same libraries as the LM package.

Fully compatible with all other packages, VE1 can be upgraded with the Human Vision Sensors also present in VE2. Description: Fully integrated in CATIA V5, VE2 (for Visual Ergonomics 2) allows users to render in HiRes the photo-realistic aspect of their products, with a unique physics based approach to light, taking into account the dynamics of the human eye (spatial and spectral sensitivity). This human eye model has been developed in cooperation with experts in vision condition analysis in military aircraft, ensuring highest possible accuracy. The final picture is obtained taking into account all opto-mechanical properties scattering, absorbing, refracting.) of all components, including their spectral behaviour, as well as the eye sensitivity. Users can then render the contrast and colors perceived by the observer when looking at any illuminated or lit object. Simulate the saturation, blooming, color perception of the real human eye (based on physiological experiments and algorithms) – for ultra-realistic rendering images, human safety and comfort improvement (lit appearance, blooming…)

Description: Fully integrated in CATIA V5, VE3 (for Visual Ergonomics 3) is the first software solution to simulate the visual perception of an observer within a virtual illuminated environment : aircraft cockpit and cabins, vehicle interior, control tower. This package allows users to apply optical properties to all objects in the virtual scene, define the emission of all sources involved, select the sensors (including the human eye), and simulate the global lighting environment, for detecting glares, stray light, colour washout, detection threshold in order to improve safety and comfort.
More infos: This package comes with a library of measured materials (common materials, optical glasses, plastics.). It is the first Visual Ergonomics simulation solution deemed to Ergonomics Engineers, Technology integrators. It includes Human Vision VE2, Uniform Ambient Source & Environment, Includes Sky Module.
