NAVAL ARCHITECT targets the small to medium Ship and Yacht industry. Typical users will be Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. NAVAL ARCHITECT will support the early design phase of ships and yachts by providing an integrated environment for weight estimation, hydrostatic verification of hull design and the generation of hydrostatic stability reports.
Description :
NAVAL ARCHITECT aims to support the naval architect by:
• Initializing a yacht product structure in CATIA by automatically mapping the Excel based bill of material and its weight and CoG attributes.
• Providing real time hydrostatic information permanently available on the CATIA window during initial hull form modeling and modification.
• Preparing a yacht model containing all relevant hydrostatic data. This model describes the yacht in terms of hydrostatic volumes, some specific wireframe data (free bord curve, …), general hydrostatic parameters and a filtered weight distribution and serves as source of input for the hydrostatic and stability solver MAAT.
• Establishing a connection to MAAT and providing MAAT with the necessary input. automatic generation of Hull section drawings
