Theorem Solutions has joined PLM MarketPlace program on June 13rd, 2008. Theorem Solutions is a world leader in CAD to/from CAD and CAD to/from Vizualization Product Data Exchange. Theorem is a totally independent company but is particularly proud of its deepening relationship with Dassault Systems which has made possible the MultiCAx products being presented by Theorem ECF 2006 through being elevated to the new status of Dassault CAA development partner Theorem's advanced data translation tools are paving the way for new functionality to support Dassault Systèmes' MultiCAx initiative - which calls for interoperability to be in the hands of users, so that "design in context" can be undertaken without the need for external translation of non CATIA V5 parts. Within the MultiCAx environment, CATIA V5 users are able to select a part or assembly in a third party format, such as UGNX for example, and cause it to appear as a node on their CATIA V5 design tree; either as a single component or full assembly, as appropriate. Specification of the required components to be worked on automatically initiates the Theorem translation technology to bring the non CATIA data into the CATIA V5 session in the user's desired CGR or BREP format, depending on the CATIA session settings. This highly interactive method of operation not only benefits users working within the CATIA V5 MultiCAx strategy, as CATIA V5 also maintains and manages links with the imported files - enabling updated versions of them to be made available to the user if the original UGNX/I-DEAS/Pro/E part or assembly is modified. As a result, users benefit from the Theorem technology without needing to undertake a separate translation operation, and without having to worry if any changes have been made to the imported parts.

Introducing off-line programming has enabled the Joensuu plant of John Deere Forestry to virtually eliminate production downtime caused by re-programming of robotic production systems.
