December is usually the great time to take a little break and think about what have been done during the year and what the next year will be synonym with. That's what we're doing now, a few hours before rising our glasses :-).

What we've got for you

This year, five new referenced partners joined the program and (will) have their offers listed on the catalog:
- ACTAS and their solutions Tool & Die Engineering offering substantially improved quality of the end result and noticeably faster delivery time;
- COASTAL LOGIC with convertLogic and printLogic for batch printing within ENOVIA;
- FORCEFIVE bringing its FastConceptModeller suite, a workbench within CATIA V5 that enables the integration and convergence of design and analysis;
- GOLAEM, focusing on populating 3D worlds with autonomous human-like characters (available soon on PLM MarketPlace);
- CADCAM and their software tools for electronics and mechanical system design (available soon on PLM MarketPlace).

Take a few minutes to browse our entire catalog of software and hardware fully complementary with CATIA, DELMIA, ENOVIA, SIMULIA and 3DVIA. Contact us if you'd like to have a specific solution listed there!

Also, note that more than 25 new Value Added Resellers joined the program this year! Check our Resellers section to know which one is in your region.

Content at heart

A few weeks ago, we introduced a brand new design for the PLM MarketPlace, specially the homepage. We want content and sharing to be at heart of this new version of the website. Discover all the new features in the dedicated blogpost!

Keep in touch!

The PLM MarketPlace LinkedIn group we launched back in 2008 was our first step into the world of social medias. It now connects almost 1800 PLM professionals.

We also launched our Twitter account and YouTube channel in 2009. These one are successful with their hundreds of people connecting and sharing content.

Our latest community is the PLM MarketPlace Facebook fan page, launched a few weeks ago only. We want it to be an informal place to share and connect around PLM MarketPlace related topics. Don't hesitate to share content here (ie. videos showing what you've made with our partners' solutions, pictures of events, etc...).
Talking about Facebook (and Twitter), you may have noticed some "Tweet" and "Recommend" buttons at the bottom of product datasheets and blogposts. Don't hesitate to click to share your interests with your peers!

What's next?

Like every year since 2006, we'll do our best in 2011 to bring you more solutions on the PLM MarketPlace with new referenced partners and/or products. Subscribe to our RSS feed to be sure you won't miss it or join our groups and communities!

On the catalog side as well, you'll discover some improvements and changes very soon, making it clearer and more powerful in terms of access to the right solution.

We also plan a major update of our PLM MarketPlace iPhone App in the next months with many new features.
In addition, we'd like to know more about your use of mobile applications and particularly the OS running in your smartphones. Please take a few seconds to answer the poll, it will help us to serve you best.

W

e talk a lot about online, social websites, etc... but we do believe life is not all about online! This is why we will continue to meet you during events all year long, including local ones but also regional ones too.

See you next year

Well, this was only a sneak preview of what we'll be doing for you in 2011. Of course, there will be more but it is too soon to tell and we want to keep a surprise effect :-)
Visit the blog, the website and our online communities regularly to be sure you won't miss anything!

It is now time for us to wish you and your loved one all the best for 2011: health above all, fun, opportunities, success in your business!

Bonne année 2011!

…and indeed, there are some changes on www.plmmarketplace.com! We are proud to present the 5th version of the website, including a brand new design but also some new features we’re sure you’ll like! Ready for the tour?

Right from the homepage, you’ll have access to our program’s key news, including new partners/products, program evolutions, events, special announcements,… This section is mostly dedicated to our Referenced Partners, so that they can deliver all the value from their solutions in a strong and well positioned visual message.

On a regular basis, we’ll share some information with you regarding the PLM MarketPlace program and you are more than welcome to exchange your ideas and points of views in the Editorial section.

Because the PLM MarketPlace Blog is really one of the most important tribune for our Partners, you’ll find now the latest blogposts right from the homepage. Don’t hesitate to consult the blogposts and react by clicking on the comment button!

Share, interact, network, meeting peers, feedback,… are essential keywords and business behaviors for us and we wanted these notions to be at the heart of this new version. This is why you’ll find a direct access to our business forum on LinkedIn (meet PLM professionals and exchange views around our Partners’ solutions), our Twitter feed (engage direct discussion with us), our Facebook page (find original content), our YouTube channel (all our Partners’ demos are hosted there) and download our iPhone App (bring all the PLM MarketPlace, including the catalog) in your pocket. The new PLM MarketPlace is clearly at heart of communities!

To facilitate and encourage exchanges around the solutions available on the PLM MarketPlace, we’ve implemented two buttons that allow you to share the page you’re reading (a Referenced Partner’s presentation, a product datasheet or a blogpost) on your Facebook wall and/or on your Twitter feed. It’s easy as 1, 2, 3: read, share, discuss!

We really hope you will like this new PLM MarketPlace as much as we do. We wanted it to focus on content/offers and user feedback and experience. This is why we decided to promote even more what is part of PLM MarketPlace but out of the website, ie. the social and business networks we are present on. Don’t hesitate to join us and discuss!

Many new features will be implemented on www.plmmarketplace.com all along 2011 (we’ve really got some cool ideas, we’re sure you’ll like it!)… Keep in touch!

As you read in Alexandre's "ECF2010: first agora tour" blogpost, Noomeo was present at this major customer event, as a Dassault Systèmes' technological partner. We were delighted to welcome visitors at our booth, showing the value and capabilities of the OptiNum 3D scanner. In addition, Ludovic BRETHES, our CSO, held a conference in partnership with Dassault Aviation, about "Automatic control of complex assembly using 3D Digital Mockup and Scanning". As you can see, around 90 people were happy to discover this new and promising cooperation:

For the 3rd year, Noomeo participated at the Euromold trade show in Frankfurt (Germany), from December 1st to 4th, 2010. Once again, it’s a new success for OptiNum and our team!

The OptiNum 3D scanner "shines" and "flashes" again thanks to its innovative features, in front of the 60.000 visitors coming from all around the world. The rich diversity among the exhibitors present this year confirms us the importance of OptiNum's place in the industrial market. The different experts from Moldmaking and Tooling to Design and Application Development were mainly interested by the new features related to "edge measurement" and "point clouds regular sampling".

But... during the show, the elements were against us! We faced flights delays due to the snow which led to some luggage lost, set up the booth in the middle of the night, all of this in a cold and icy weather... We, living in Toulouse and its 20°C in early December, we are not used to that :-). Nevertheless, we found some energy and were in the starting blocks, ready to welcome you!

See you next year!

In the latest issue of Dassault Systèmes' Contact Mag, some of the PLM MarketPlace's Value Added Resellers are under the spotlight. We propose you to read their success stories, showing how key is the role of a Value Added Reseller in the definition and implementation of a PLM offer.

  • France: Ecoceane / Keonys
Ecoceane, the French specialist in open-water oil spill response, has chosen CATIA, DELMIA and 3DVIA to accelerate its performance in designing and manufacturing ships and position itself as the global market leader.
Keonys carried out specific on-site studies and developed new methodologies to make R&D operational rapidly.

  • Czech Republic: Duratec / Technodat
Technodat helped Duratec - a bicycles designer and manufacturer -  to implement Dassault Systèmes' solutions including CATIA PLM Express (manufacturing) and 3DVIA Composer (assembly drawings). Note that Duractec uses also Type 3 from our partner Vision numeric for parametric text creation.

  • USA: Viking / Inceptra
Viking created the concept of professional-quality cooking to the home in the late 80s. Since then, competition has been tougher and tougher. This is why, with the help of Inceptra, they selected CATIA and ENOVIA SmarTeam in order to always be at the top in terms of innovation and excellency.

  • Argentina: Mirgor / Teckdes
Mirgor is an automotive and consumer air-conditioning leading manufacturer based in Latin America. Working with the local VAR Teckdes, they selected CATIA PLM Express in order to increase design department efficiency, improve product quality and strengthen their leadership role.

  • Sweden: MacGregor / Technia
MacGregor, a Sweden based cranes manufacturer, was looking for better data management, secured access to information and better collaboration in order to deal with a sharp rise in orders. Technia, a Dassault Systèmes' VAR, brought its expertise in this field and MacGregor made the choice to adopt ENOVIA V6.

As everyone can see after reading these success stories, the role of a Value Added Reseller is key. Not only they can help you adopt the right Dassault Systèmes offer, they also have the knowledge to complement this one with our partners' solutions.
