ECF2010's second day has started with lots of interesting sessions all day long. For those who were not able to visit all our Partners' booths, we continue our tour of Agora started yesterday.

We've met Antoine Reymond, AMD Strategic Alliances Senior Manager, who shared the booth with four other partners. Folks from 3dvia used ATI 3D graphic cards, running on Dell workstations, to run a 3D experience on six screens at the same time. The idea was to offer a deep view of an oil platform, offering a really interesting immersive experience. Combined with the ATI V7800, Fujitsu was able to display very high resolution pictures on their Celsius W380. Techviz was presenting immersive solution and rendering using CATIA and folks from Barco were there to showcase visualization and projection systems. Listen to Antoine and see what the renderings are like on these devices:

Romain Lavault from Intercim stopped by our booth and gave us his impressions on the event. You can find out more about their product Pertinence Suite (simplifying communications between engineering, production operations, ERP systems and across the supply chain) on PLM MarketPlace:

Our tour ends with David Sabot, from IGE+XAO. David performed a live demo of their electrical harness design solution See Electrical Harness. As a Gold partner of Dassault Systèmes and having several common customers present here at the event, David and his team were really eager to be at ECF2010. Find out more about See Electrical Harness in the following video:

We hope you enjoyed ECF2010 too and found this "virtual" tour of the event interesting. What are your feeling about the event? Did you enjoy it as much as we did?

We've published some photos and videos in our PLM MarketPlace page on Facebook, have a look at it and don't hesitate to share yours too!

We hope to see you for the next ECF!

ECF 2010 is now going on and everyone's enjoying it. After this morning's plenary session including some customers' testimonies, guest are now invited to attend sessions, meet experts and Dassault Systèmes' partners in the Agora.

Concerning the PLM MarketPlace, we are located next to Microsoft's showroom where people can relax and have fun by trying the brand new Kinect! It's funny for us to see people jumping and laughing all day long :).

Time to relax with Microsoft Kinect...

Now, we'd like to offer you a virtual tour of the Agora. We've stopped by our partners' booths asking them to present their companies and solutions.

Noomeo: scanning the event

I met with André Joly and Mathieu André from Noomeo at their booth. They were performing a nice demonstration of their product Optinum, a 3D-handheld scanner weighting only 1,8kg. Have a look at the video we’ve made with them to see how easy is it to use this powerful device.

Here are some additional news about Noomeo on this blog.

Rapid modeling with Forcefive
Next stop was at Forcefive's booth where I met Stefan, Christian and Ian. They were happy to show me live the capabilities of their software Fast Concept Modeller used for modeling in the automotive industry.

Find out more about Forcefive on the PLM MarketPlace blog.

I hope you enjoyed these first insights of ECF2010 with our partners exhibiting here. I'll come back tomorrow with some new great stuff to show you.

Talk to you soon...

Alexandre

Here I am, at EuroDisney in Paris, for the Dassault Systèmes European Customer Forum (ECF) 2010.

Everyone's busy here in the Agora in order to be ready to welcome our guests tomorrow morning. I came here with Michael, from the Dassault Systèmes Alliances department in order to have everything ready at the PLM MarketPlace booth. As you can see (and hear ;-)), the atmosphere in the Agora was really... how could I say... "cool" :-)

I had the opportunity to chat briefly with a few partners exhibiting in the Agora, all of them are very exciting to meet you tomorrow. And as far as I could see, they've all got very cool stuff to show you during these days!

Ready to welcome you!

Well, the installation check-list is now complete. Time to get some sleep before two intense days. We can't wait to meet you tomorrow and Wednesday! Stop by our booth, we've got some nice things for you, including goodies but also (and above all) the new version of www.plmmarketplace.com!

Don't forget that if during this ECF 2010 you've got questions regarding how to complement your Dassault Systèmes configuration with DS certified solutions, then the PLM MarketPlace booth is the place to be!

See you tomorrow!

One month ago, we launched our first online contest with an Apple iPad as a prize. Many people showed us they knew the PLM MarketPlace well and we would like to thank all the participants.

Dozens of you gave us the 5 correct answers. However, only one person would be the lucky winner of the iPad. Under the control of Maître Montel, a drawing lot among the persons who gave 100% correct answer took place on Friday, November 19th. We are proud to announce that the winner is Mr. Dylan MacLean (see picture below) from New Jersey, USA!

Dylan works as a Marketing Manager at Magestic Systems, a Dassault Systèmes Software Partner. Note that Magestic Systems’ products are available through the PLM MarketPlace.

"I would like to thank Dassault Systemes and the PLM Marketplace for the iPad. This is a great way to start off the holiday season. An iPad will definitely be a fantastic resource for the future. The PLM Marketplace is also a wonderful resource for business as it has developed into a single location that allows me to find a wealth of information about 3DS products and partners right at my fingertips -- just like an iPad. Again, I want to thank Dassault Systemes and the PLM Marketplace for organizing this contest.", Dylan told us.

Again, congratulations to Dylan (we are sure he’ll download the PLM MarketPlace app for iPhone/iPad :-))!

For those of you attending the ECF starting Tuesday next week, you’ll have a second chance to win an iPad!

See you at Mickey’s…

Among others like the Parrot™ UAV and the fan/air amplifier of Dyson™, OptiNum was labelized for its original design.

Organized by the APCI (French agency for the promotion of industrial creation), the Design Observeur is a privileged meeting place for design since 1999, where excellence is rewarded with stars and labels for the best designs of the year.

A quick reminder for those who ignore it: the latest design of the OptiNum scanner was made, in a global and collaborative approach, in cooperation with the Design Studio team of Dassault Systèmes.

Thank you and congratulations to the Design Studio team of Dassault Systèmes! And don't miss the next step of development of the Noomeo products!

This is day 2 of this year's Dassault Systèmes Customers Conference (DSCC2010). With PLM MarketPlace being there these two days, in a way, all our Referenced Partners made the trip to Florida!

But as we said in some previous blogposts, a few of them are really present in Orlando. This is the case of Forcefive (Gold sponsor) and CoastalLogic (Silver sponsor). I invite you to know a little bit more about them...

I first met the Forcefive team made of Stefan Bikanic, Christian Fritz, Thomas Schmidt and Ian Phillips. Forcefive held a conference based on an usecase at BMW: "Accelerating innovation in global automotive development" which was successful in terms of attendees. Their solution, Fast Concept Modeller, enables very fast creation of models and their variants and reduces cycle times at the early concept stages. Stefan was pretty happy to be there at DSCC2010, "where everything is done the American way, everything is huge". If you did not have the opportunity to meet the Forcefive team in Orlando, they'll be present at ECF 2010 in a couple of weeks in Paris and will present some fresh content during a session.

The Forcefive Team

My next visit was to Shaun Dawson, Khanh Dao, Wayne Hoit and Andrea Young, the CoastalLogic's team. CoastalLogic joined PLM MarketPlace a few months ago. At DSCC2010, people had the opportunity to enjoy live demos of two of their products working with ENOVIA: printLogic for batch printing and convertLogic for PDF rendering. These solutions allow high customization and are very easy to use. "DSCC was for us an opportunity to interact with existing clients and prospects. It was an enjoyable experience" Shaun told me. He'll be also in Paris for the ECF 2010 looking forward to meeting new people.

The CoastaLogic team

From my perspective, I had a really good time there, networking with experts from our partners but also with customers. It is always a pleasure to make them discover our ecosystem of partners and the value they can bring to their Dassault Systèmes configuration.

It is now time to fly back to Paris, have some post-DSCC2010 calls and meetings. And also to prepare our next big event: ECF 2010! Don't miss the opportunity to meet us there!

See you in Paris in a couple of week.

DSCC2010 began today in sunny Florida and we are pleased to be there for the first time. This morning, Bernard Charlès, President & CEO Dassault Systèmes and Al Bunschaft, Managing Director Dassault Systèmes Americas opened the plenary session in front of 800+ attendees.

Welcome to DSCC 2010!

DSCC is definitly customer-focused, as shown by the three testimonies from Ford Motor Company, P&G and Tesla Motors during the plenary session. The audience learned how these three major companies managed to "envision and invent the future" (DSCC2010's motto) thanks to Dassault Systèmes' solutions. I must admit it was really impressive to see how our customers take advantage of our products to build the future, our future.

Back on the Technology Showcase along with some of our PLM MarketPlace partners. This is the ideal place to network and exchange with peers and experts. It's nice to see that people are always impressed by the wide portfolio of solutions offered by our Alliance Partners and being curious about it.

Be our guest...

As announced last week, some of our PLM MarketPlace partners are here too to showcase their solutions live, being in the Technology Showcase or during specific Industry Sessions ("Accelerating Innovation in Global Automotive Development" with Forcefive, "Consummer Goods Industry & Solution Overview" with Technia,...).

These are great opportunities for our customers to discover new ways to empower their Dassault Systèmes' configurations and meet our partners' experts. And actually, everyone's busy here discussing with customers, peers and experts and enjoying live demos of the solutions.

The Technology Showcase

For those of you not present at the DSCC2010, remember that you can somehow be with us thanks to our Twitter @3DSLive and hashtag #DSCC2010 or join the Dassault Systèmes group on LinkedIn. Also, have a look at some picture we took there...

For those of you who where there, what are your impressions? Did you enjoy? Are you going back to the office with new ideas, solutions?

See you tomorrow, live from Orlando!
