AMD works with Dassault Systèmes to tune, optimize, and enable the real-time manipulation of very large PLM data sets as well as realistic rendered models using ATI FirePro graphics, giving manufacturing companies the ability to accurately model and analyze product performance characteristics while limiting the number of physical prototypes.

1Based on comparison of 1600 stream processors and 147.2GB/s memory bandwidth for ATI FirePro™ V8800 vs. 240 CUDA processors and 102GB/s for NVIDIA QuadroFX 5800, as reported on
http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_11761.html as of 3/16/10. As of 3/1/2010, ATI FirePro™ V8800 has the highest number of stream processors of any graphics card.
2ATI Eyefinity technology can support up to 6 displays using a single enabled ATI FirePro™ professional graphics card with Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating systems. The number of displays may vary by board design and you should confirm exact specifications with the applicable manufacturer before purchase. ATI Eyefinity technology works with games that support non-standard aspect ratios, which is required for panning across multiple displays. To enable more than two displays, additional panels with native DisplayPort™ connectors, and/or certified DisplayPort™ adapters to convert your monitor’s native input to your cards DisplayPort™ or Mini-DisplayPort™ connector(s), are required. Driver version 8.66 (Catalyst 9.10) or above is also required.
