HomeExtending Dassault Systèmes' Solutions thanks to approved partners

Friday, 15 May 2009

We are proud to welcome a new Referenced partner on PLM MarketPlace: ELSYS! ELSYS is one of the leaders in electrical harness design and brings a complete suite of solutions in this application domain.

ELSYS comes up with innovative PLM Solutions in Electrical Engineering. That means a radically new way of handling and integrating electrical technology with the design and manufacture of electromechanical products and systems.

Because ELSYS’s solutions (CATELECTRE, SMARTELECTRE, ELECTRE) facilitate collaborative work between electrical and mechanical engineers, they highly improve their efficiency by taking complete charge of all aspects of the diversity and complexity of the systems, from onboard electrical engineering (functions, standards, etc.) and electromechanical engineering (3D routings, segregation, etc.) to project engineering (configuration management, manufacturing documents, etc.).

These solutions bring a high value added in all stages of the design process thanks to a thorough understanding of onboard electrical engineering needs and full allowance for the problems of 3D wiring in both design and manufacturing.

We are very happy to welcome our Belgo/French fellows onboard and hope they will help you to fullfil your needs in terms of electrical harness design.

Anthony and the Elsys team

This used to be one of the best kept secrets. It's not anymore: as stated in an excellent blog post by Michael, PLM MarketPlace offers a tremendous opportunity for DS customers looking for partner solutions. You know it. But now there is more behind that:

PLM MarketPlace offers exclusive discounts. Today our partners Cenit, TraceParts, Vison Numeric offer discount campaigns, and they will be joined in may by DPS and Geometric.

To get information about discounts you can either check our homepage, our private section or our twitter(*). Depending on partner policy these discounts or specific conditions can be public in some cases, but in a general they will be detailed only in our private section. Customers and Resellers can check our website on a regular basis. By the way, for lazy and/or smart people (and I believe you are more smart than lazy ;-)), you can have this info brought to you if you follow us on twitter!

As usual we don't want to use web2.0 technologies for fun only. We think these technologies also make things easy to buy or sell partner solutions, and we hope you'll want to take the benefit of the new twitter alert system. Really, if your local pizza joint is doing it, PLM professionnals can also do it! Of course you will not only get discount alerts there, it's also a nice way to follow what's moving in our partner network.

(*) on twitter people answer the simple question 'what are you doing?' in 140 letters or less, a bit like a SMS that would be published on a wall. Other people can 'follow' them and receive updates. Answers can be public or private via a Direct Message. By extension, this is a great way to report short business information to our community.

Jacques.

I'm back from COE Seattle!  This was a great event and I want to thank all of the Dassault Systemes partners and customers for their participation and investment in the event. Thanks to all those who stopped by the PLM Marketplace booth!

The PLM MarketPlace community has grown significantly since our inception. Now is the ideal time for partners to take advantage of the site to drive revenue for your offerings. Note that eight of our Software Partners referenced on PLM MarketPlace were also present in the Techni Fair CD-adapco, Cenit, Creaform, Elysium, IGE+XAO, Intercim, Optis and Theorem.

It was also a great pleasure to visit the AMD/Lenovo booth and meet with the North American Eagle Team, led by Driver/Owner, Ed Shadle and Co-Owner, Keith Zanghi. The North American Eagle team is on a quest to break the world land speed record of 763 mph, established by a British team. Their passion for innovation and motivation to bring the record back to the US is amazing!

As a manufacturer in today's economic climate, you are being forced to do more with less. Your company is probably facing uncertain production objectives and a desire to reduce costs while maintaining or increasing efficiency. Moreover, most companies like yours are concentrating less on the grand, multi-year vision for the enterprise and more on its near-term needs to meet today's urgent goals.

View this 40’ on-demand event featuring Intercim & Dassault Systemes/ Delmia to learn how real-time collaboration between engineering and manufacturing can help you. You'll discover how your company can achieve higher rates of production efficiency today, while also putting your company in a good position for the future.

You'll learn how to:
- align engineering data with manufacturing to improve engineering deliverables such as process planning
- leverage manufacturing knowledge in the engineering process to improve knowledge transfer
- increase manufacturing visibility to change in order to reduce the cost of change
- improve configuration management through a tight integration between engineering and manufacturing
- reduce manufacturing waste through visiblity to the right engineering information at the right time.

If it's not already done, it's time for you to mark your agenda! During four days, April 19-22, in Seattle (WA) will be held the COE 2009 Annual PLM Conference & TechniFair. 2008 was a success for PLM MarketPlace at this event, so we decided to come back!

Those of you having the opportunity to come this year are welcome to visit us at our booth. Tom Schorr, Manager, Global Technology Partner Programs & Business Development, from Dassault Systemes North America, will be on hand to host and give you an update on the new happenings with the PLM MarketPlace. Note that eight of our Software Partners referenced on PLM MarketPlace will be also present in the TechniFair: CD-adapco, Cenit, Creaform, Elysium, IGE+XAO, Intercim, Optis and Theorem.

With Michael & Jacques, during COE 2008, it was still all about marketplaces!

Take time to visit them and discover their solutions! Are you gonna be part of "PLM MarketPlace @ COE: the return"? ;-)
