This used to be one of the best kept secrets. It's not anymore: as stated
in an excellent <a href="http://perspectives.3ds.com/2009/04/06/plm-shopping/" target="_blank"><font color="#ff0000">blog
post by Michael</font></a><font color="#ff0000">,</font> PLM MarketPlace offers a
tremendous opportunity for DS customers looking for partner solutions. You know it.
But now there is more behind that:
</p>
        <p>
          <strong>PLM MarketPlace offers exclusive discounts.</strong> Today our partners Cenit,
TraceParts, Vison Numeric offer discount campaigns, and they will be joined in may
by DPS and Geometric.
</p>
        <p>
To get information about discounts you can either check our <a href="http://www.plmmarketplace.com/" target="_blank"><font color="#ff0000">homepage</font></a>,
our private section or our <a href="http://twitter.com/plmmarketplace" target="_blank"><font color="#ff0000">twitter(*)</font></a>.
Depending on partner policy these discounts or specific conditions can be public in
some cases, but in a general they will be detailed only in our private section. Customers
and Resellers can check our website on a regular basis. By the way, for
lazy and/or smart people (and I believe you are more smart than lazy ;-)), you can
have this info brought to you if you follow us on twitter!
</p>
        <p align="center">
          <img src="http://www.plmmarketplace.com/blog/content/binary/twitter-caddie.png" border="0" target="_blank" />
        </p>
        <p>
As usual we don't want to use web2.0 technologies for fun only. We think these technologies also
make things easy to buy or sell partner solutions, and we hope you'll want to take
the benefit of the new twitter alert system. Really, if <a href="http://sthelens-dominos.blogspot.com/2009/02/follow-dominos-pizza-on-twitter-and-get.html" target="_blank"><font color="#ff0000">your
local pizza joint is doing it</font></a>, PLM professionnals can also do it!
Of course you will not only get discount alerts there, it's also a nice way to follow
what's moving in our partner network.
</p>
        <p>
(*) on <a href="http://twitter.com/"><font color="#ff0000">twitter</font></a> people
answer the simple question 'what are you doing?' in 140 letters or less, a bit like
a SMS that would be published on a wall. Other people can 'follow' them
and receive updates. Answers can be public or private via a Direct Message. By extension,
this is a great way to report short business information to our community.
</p>
        <p>
Jacques.
