From June 20th to June 26th, the Paris Air Show takes place at Le Bourget airport, France. Aviation professionals as well as enthusiasts will have the opportunity discover the latest aircraft (Airbus A400M, Boeing B747-8,...) as well as the latest innovations in the industry in terms of materials, design, assembly process, simulation, etc...

No need to say that PLM has been contributing a lot to this industry over the past decades. You will not be surprised to know that some of our PLM MarketPlace partners are exhibiting at this 49th Paris Air Show:

- ESI Group (simulation), Hall 4 F162
- OPTIS (simulation), Hall 4 D18 and D94
- SAMTECH (simulation), Hall 2b G35
And, of course, Dassault Systèmes is in the place too, chalet B181. Don't hesitate to pay these folks a visit, they'll show you their latest technology and how they can help in the aerospace industry.

In case you ignore it, a significant part of the PLM MarketPlace catalog offers many solutions for the aerospace in various domains: manufacturing, simulation, mechanical design, shape design & styling,... Browse the catalog to know more!

It's time for us to head to Le Bourget, see you there!

At the heart of the 48th Paris Airshow at Le Bourget.

Despite the rain, we had some great in flight demo yesterday, including the latest Falcon 7X, the A380, the Antonov AN148 and, on the military side, the Rafale and F-16.
On the ground, you can enjoy a close look at the Boeing B777F from Air France, the Airbus A380 and A321, the Dassault Falcon family but also some impressive equipements from the US Air Force (including the huge C-17).

But Paris Airshow is not all about planes made of composite and heavy metal! I really encourage you to take some time to visit the different booths and chalets where you will find some of our PLM MarketPlace partners: Airbus Cimpa, ESI Group, Optis and Samtech. All of them would be really pleased to welcome you on their booth and tell you more about their solutions.

Are you planning to visit them before enjoying a flight demonstration? OK, it's an advice from an aviation enthusiast, but listen: Paris Airshow is a unique opportunity to mix business and pleasure, so don't hesitate anymore and join us!

Well gotta leave: I've got a slot to visit my future bizjet ;-)

For SEAT’s Prototype Center of Development (CPD), the release of tools integrated into CATIA V5 such as PAM-DIEMAKER for CATIA V5, allows a rapid and accurate development of die design. It is very valuable to be able to perform the appropriate geometrical changes and to have these evolutions simultaneously available for machining within CATIA. This represents a tremendous advantage in terms of productivity as well as for the final quality of our design, giving us the opportunity to perform our work in a common environment during all process phases.” Javier Diaz Martinez, Manager of the Prototype Center of Development (CPD), SEAT S.A.

SEAT’s Prototype Center of Development (CPD), situated in the manufacturing plant of the Spanish company in Martorell (Barcelona) is considered one of the most innovative in the Spanish industry and is emblematic within the Volkswagen Group. It gathers in a single location all activities linked to the development of prototypes for virtual and physical phases, from pre-serial vehicles to serial analyses.

PAM-DIEMAKER for CATIA V5 is a breakthrough solution allowing die designers to create quickly the first draft of a die addendum within minutes directly in their CAD environment.
PAM-DIEMAKER for CATIA V5 offers powerful interactive parametric tools and functions which provide guidance and support for part preparation, binder development and die addendum design with direct connection to simulation.

PAM-DIEMAKER for CATIA V5, as well as other solutions from ESI Group are available on www.plmmarketplace.com.
