Impressive, isn't it? And I've got a good news for you if are attending the ECF in a couple of weeks: the AMD team will be there to show you it working live!

ECF2010's second day has started with lots of interesting sessions all day long. For those who were not able to visit all our Partners' booths, we continue our tour of Agora started yesterday.

We've met Antoine Reymond, AMD Strategic Alliances Senior Manager, who shared the booth with four other partners. Folks from 3dvia used ATI 3D graphic cards, running on Dell workstations, to run a 3D experience on six screens at the same time. The idea was to offer a deep view of an oil platform, offering a really interesting immersive experience. Combined with the ATI V7800, Fujitsu was able to display very high resolution pictures on their Celsius W380. Techviz was presenting immersive solution and rendering using CATIA and folks from Barco were there to showcase visualization and projection systems. Listen to Antoine and see what the renderings are like on these devices:

Our tour ends with David Sabot, from IGE+XAO. David performed a live demo of their electrical harness design solution See Electrical Harness. As a Gold partner of Dassault Systèmes and having several common customers present here at the event, David and his team were really eager to be at ECF2010. Last week, Dassault Systèmes hosted two major events at its Paris DS Campus: the SwYm Conference (formerly DEVCON) and the 2010 Partner Summit. Attendees had the opportunity to enjoy cool demos of 3DVIA Studio: the game Billions and a realistic 3D and interactive view of a city.

Guests were wowed by this experience thanks to two of our technology partners: Hewlett-Packard who brought its latest HP Z800 Workstation and AMD with its high-end ATI Eyefinity technology 3D graphics card.

Well, 2009 is really coming to its end, and after last week’s retrospective, and as promised, it is now time to look at the future! As we said, we’ve got really cool things to announce for the PLM MarketPlace community. In 2009 (also applies for the previous years ), we spent time meeting our customers, partners, resellers online but also for real (COE, DEVCON, ECF, …) and tried to find out how we could do better to help them.

Of course, today, it is still too soon to disclose everything, but this, for sure, what you will get from the PLM MarketPlace in 2010.

A growing catalog

The software catalog will welcome two new post-processors providers: ICAM and IMS. Their offers should be available online mid-/end-January. Note that in the field of post-processors, CENIT referenced their offer a few weeks ago.
On the hardware catalog side, we are very proud to announce that AMD decided to join the PLM MarketPlace! Their offer is scheduled to be available next month, a special announcement will be made once it is online, stay tuned!
